Studs.

I'm a studding fiend! Like I've said before, I'm currently obsessively in love with denim and studs, so therefore you guys will get to see my many projects that have to do with randomly studding and repurposing my old denim clothing. Here is another project that I've just finished working on.

This is my old jean jacket that I no longer like because the sleeves were a bit too tight for me. They were squeezing the heck out of my blood vessels so... I decided to cut them off, yup! The solution to every problem is that you have to terminate "the" snag at the root, and in this case, the sleeves gotta go.

(Bye bye!)

So it looks something like this (picture below). I've turned my unfitted denim jacket into a denim vest by simply cutting off the sleeve areas. Plus you don't have to worry about it being raggedy looking or anything like that. We aim for the whole edgy, punk-rock look so this is actually quite the effect we're looking for. ^_^ And no sewing is required!

(Not too shabby eh?)

And the next step is STUDDING! This is when the magic happens. These are triangle bronze studs that I got from eBay. Yes, I know I know, I love eBay for their studs. But look at how different the jacket from before and now. I studded the collar and the shoulder areas as well as the pockets. Imagine how cute this jacket would be paired with a flower dress or even a colorful shirt with leggings and boots. Super cute of course! You can purchase these studs here.

Close-up on me wearing the jacket. Sometimes, in what pattern you're studding isn't necessarily the problem. You just gotta figure that out yourself and do it. Because in the end, you'll be the one rocking out your own creations, so with whatever makes you happy, go for it.
