Giving Your Old Sweater An Upgrade.

Have you ever looked at some of your old clothes and wondered if you would ever wear that again? I have. Pretty much almost everyday. Being a girl, I'm trying to be as versatile as I can to my own closet but sometimes your clothes just simply bore you. Well, this is what happened to my sweater when it's on its way of trying to bore me. ^_^

Pardon my lime green pajama pants (they don't even go with my top I know), but I have a legit excuse. It was my day off and there was no way I would put on real pants, so yes. Anyways, this is just a normal sweater, with front and back looking the same and as boring as ever. I've wore it once before and totally in love with the color but it just never seems like to intrigue me to wear it again. Soooo... this is what I came up with.

I cut the back off!!! Folded it in half from the shoulder areas down and cut it in a half bow-shape til the middle. So now it has a very gorgeous, low-cut curve back to it. What I did next was just folded the seam lines and sewed from shoulder to shoulder. I also studded the curve with black square studs that I purchased off of eBay as well. I know there are a whole lot of websites online that offer great deals on studs and spikes but I love eBay because they are just that much cheaper and better. And voila, there you have it. My charming, brand-new looking sweater.

(Once again, I need to invest in a new and better camera.)

The final product. Now I can rock this sweater out on a night in town and have my friends oohh-ahh over it. It was a really really easy project and it took me just about half an hour to finish it. And I am nowhere near skillful as some of the other bloggers out there. So please feel free to be brave and cut up your old unvaried clothes and give them new life.
